One of the joys of being in Cheshire is being surrounded by so many beautiful and historical stately homes. Some being turned into wedding and event venues mean I get to shoot the most amazing and exquisite weddings there. The grounds are well kept with lush green formal gardens and natural wildlife.
Combermere Abbey is set in acres of countryside and farm land with a Grade II garden. The house was originally built in the 12th Century with transformations and developments since then, it is now a family home with holiday cottages and a wing allocated for the bride and groom. An Edwardian glass house within the gardens plays a part in ceremonies and dinners parties, alongside a modern marquee structure for events and weddings.
It's the perfect place for a wedding with every backdrop imaginable.
I was so excited when I was invited for a shoot to be a little creative. As expected, the weather wasn't playing and we had to endure showers all day. You wouldn't be able to tell, the backdrop and surroundings are incredible and our couple had so much fun.
